Mortimer and his girlfriend Petunia were brought to the shelter on 08/30/14 when they found running loose. Mortimer is a darling beagle who is about 4 years old and weighs 32 lbs. He is up to date on vaccines and will be neutered before joining his forever family. Mortimer is a real sweetie who loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He is very loving and playful and would make a wonderful pet for any family! UPDATE: Mortimer was accepted into the ADOPT program at the Rockville Women's Correctional Facility. He will be taught basic obedience, housetraining, and socialization skills. He is available for adoption reservation through the shelter and will graduate in early January. His adoption fee is $150. Unless otherwise stated, the adoption fee for one of our dogs is $110.00 which includes the animal's surgery, vaccinations, flea preventative, and deworming medication. Shelter policy is that all animals must be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter. Any of our pets may also be micro-chipped for an additional $10.00 fee. Our shelter is open to the public on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm and other times by appointment.
